In-Line Development Company

David Wittekind has been involved in the real estate construction and development industry for the past 30 years. Dave started his career with his father installing solar collectors. He graduated from Cincinnati Technical College with double majors in Surveying and Construction Management. He continued his studies at the University of Cincinnati while working as a surveyor for Bayer Becker Engineers. After working in this position, Dave was promoted to civil designer, land planner, project manager and office manager assistant. In 1995, he left this position to work with Dixon Builders to pursue a career in land development.  In 1997, Dave started his company, In-Line Development Company. Since this time Dave has been involved with the Home Builders Association of Greater Cincinnati (HBA). He served as the 2004 President of Ohio Valley Development Council, 2007 Home Builders President and has participated on numerous committees for the Home Builders Association and municipal committees.

Award-winning communities developed by In-Line Development

In-Line has been awarded several prestigious honors from the local HBA as well as the National HBA.  Those have included the Best Land Planned Community of 2004 for West Chester Village, a planned urban development, consisting of 214 single family homes, 232 condominiums, 224 apartments and 240,000 square feet of commercial retail. Little did he know serving as Chairman of the 2005 Long Cove Homearama® and the 2007 Vintage Club Homearama® he was tuning his skills to produce home shows.  While continuing to develop projects throughout Greater Cincinnati he planned to turn his interest towards urban development. Dave’s first urban planned development was Rockford Woods. The City of Cincinnati and the HBA partnered with In-Line to produce the 2010 CiTiRAMA® home show that was highly attended and received the Best Entrance for a Community by his local HBA and the Best 2010 Tour of Homes from the National Home Builders Association.

Rockford Woods, former CiTiRAMA® Home Show community

In-Line completed Rockford Woods in January 2010, by adding thirty three lots and providing twelve acres of untouched woodland open space. This award winning neighborhood sat dormant like an uncut jewel; this community consisted of 16 homes, and was polished to a fine gem of 48 homes with a few home sites available today. While the larger housing market in 2010 was in an economic slump, Rockford Woods defied the odds with the fastest absorption rate in the region. The Northside Comprehensive Land Use Plan stated its goal was to complete Rockford Woods and their objective has been reached.

Virginia Place is the newest community in historic Northside and will host the CiTiRAMA 2012 Home Show

Currently, he is working enthusiastically on Virginia Place, which is the 2012 CiTiRAMA®. Virginia Place is located in the Cincinnati neighborhood of Northside at Virginia Avenue and Chase Avenue.   The home show will take place from September 8th - 16th and is open to the public.  CiTiRAMA® provides an opportunity for buyers to choose between several local builders that are utilizing the latest green technology and design elements for lifestyle living.

Virginia Place consists of a variety of single family homes and neo-traditional homes nestled between Mt. Airy Forest and Badgeley Run Park. Once completed Virginia Place’s new sidewalks and street patterns will provide residents with both pedestrian and bike access to the trailheads of these parks. Virginia Place offers convenience of walking to the Northside Business District, easy access to public transportation and vehicle access to I-74 and 75 highways resulting in arrival to downtown Cincinnati within minutes.
